I thought we had FREEDOM OF SPEECH in this country......

This website is becoming majorly LAME!!!!!!

Ooooooh, boogy boogy........you are banned for using the......Oh my Gosh golly gee......THE F WORD.......LAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm as profane as any at times, but the ability to communicate effectively without profanity is sometimes percieved as insightful, intelligent, and mature.

The F-word is lousy adjective or adverb. Hollywood long ago over-used it so that the shock value has seriously been diminished, and all that is left is a coarse, harsh tone that generally reflects more about the person using the word than the situation that person wishes to describe.

And no--we do have freedom of speech here. The forums, however, are paid for by advertisers. Unless you are paying a monthly subscription fee, your choices are to A) comply with the rules or B) go to another board.

I'm not a moderator, but I think the generally do a pretty good job. I am suprised they don't play even rougher as language police.

So...try Frickin' or frackin' if you just have to have an F adjective, but I think you'll find a well thought out post without the colorful words will get more response in the long run.

"but I think you'll find a well thought out post without the colorful words will get more response in the long run."

I view certain levels of profanity as an art form! LOL

If it's true as they say that profanity is a crutch for the inarticulate, better put me down for at least a walker, and maybe even one of those electric scooters.

I'm personally far more offended by the unrelenting stupidity of a few individuals who are nominally my peers and colleagues than I am by bit of good old fashioned cussin'. Just don't say *************************s. That's going too far.

Nice use of "majorly". Other than that, you sound stupid.

He's right, it is just like under saddam. I heard Bill Mosteller and UAL78 were going to drop chemical weapons on 64II's house!

Frick yeah! I frickin' agree with every-frackin' thing you frickin' said.

I don't know about you, but that's about as satisfying as tofu.

Fvck the fvckin fvckers!

The only sentence to include a verb, an adjective, and a noun of the same root word. It's usually my sentiment of ALPA and ATA managment. My wife's too! Of course she's AFA, but you know what I mean......

Lighten up Francis!

I wonder if I'll get banned.

They stopped "Rosie" from dancing, so I had to "PG" her.

No kidding, a buddy of mine interviewed at Airtran last year and actually got asked to make a complete sentence out of the f word. Yeah thats right... just the F-word. I heard the word is actually in their Flight Manual and used in their company procedures call outs.

Shoulda studied better for your Constitution test in the 8th grade.

The Constitution only puts limits on the government.

This Forum ain't run by the government.

Post child porn and see how untrue that statement is.

Get real.. this is a private board, with an owner and rules. You have no rights to free speach on this or any other board. If you don't like it, go someplace else.

read the constitution, freedom of speech is nothing of the sort, all it says is that the GOVERNMENT can't restrict freedom of speech and the press.

Sheesh.. some people's kids.

A Must See!

You have to watch this short video on 'Proper Use of the 'F' word'. It will clear up any confusion you might have on ways to use the word. It is absolutely hillarious.

*** Just wait 15-20 seconds and then click on Play, don't wait for it to Load.

ENJOY!

>>>>>>>> SORRY, just noticed FNG beat me to the same video!

Actually, that isn't true. In the Security Aviation case in AK Federal Court, employees of Security Aviation were saying that they were going to cheer when Robert Kane got his release on bail and Federal Courthouse security overheard them and said they would kick their ass if they did. Well, maybe not kick their ass, but maybe they would trundle them a little bit.

Ahh! A Constitutional Law expert!

There are statutes that restrict "Free Speech" in 14 different instances.

You've named one. Can you guess any others?

So, let me make sure I got this one right...

You equate the moderation of a for profit website with paid advertisers to being under the rule of a genocidal maniac? A little overboard maybe? But, then again...exaggeration does make for interesting rhetoric.

Did I hear my position equated to homocidal maniac? Present!!! I'm cleared in hot to 64II's house, but I'm using willie pete today- it's a lot more fun to watch detonate!!

Wheeeeeeeee!

Abort, Abort!! Flash communication from Central Party Control--- 64II's internet address corresponds with Capt. Megadeth's address who is in the PB for using the F bomb in his/her/whoever's posts and is not happy about the censure (as opposed to the censor). Target not at home. Will return to base. Out....

And thanks for the posts of support folks! Appreciated.

Dude, do I have to be an expert? Can't I be a novice or student?

Go ahead and rattle off the other 13, unless one of them has something to do with falsely yelling fire in a theater.

The maxim is: "He who smelt it, dealt it!"

So now you have to list the restrictions on free speech.

(You got the "fire!" right..."Public Safety")

To get you started I'll list some general categories:

1. Threats
2. Secrets
3. False Statements

An interesting drill. No fair Googling!

Oh yeah...dweebs heckling Moderators isn't a crime, even though it should be.

Actually, I'd be lying if said I could list them without doing a google...
