Dow Jones International News Service via Dow Jones

TORONTO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 29, 2004--Bombardier Aerospace (TSX:BBD.A)
(TSX:BBD.B) has delivered the first of 25 70-seat Bombardier CRJ700 Series
701(i) regional jets to US Airways' wholly-owned subsidiary PSA Airlines of
Dayton, Ohio. It is the first 70-seat aircraft to operate in the US Airways
Express fleet.

Bombardier announced on May 12, 2003 that US Airways had placed firm orders
for 60 50-seat Bombardier CRJ200(i) and 25 Bombardier CRJ700 aircraft.

PSA Airlines has taken delivery of and operates 16 Bombardier CRJ200 aircraft.
"We are very excited about the additional capacity and new route possibilities
this aircraft brings to our fleet," said Richard E. Pfennig, President and Chief
Executive Officer, PSA Airlines. "As we transition into an all-jet carrier, we
will bring new levels of comfort and convenience to the communities we serve."

"US Airways' commitment to both the Bombardier CRJ200 and CRJ700 is an
endorsement of the proven economics and commonality benefit of the Bombardier
CRJ family," said Steven A. Ridolfi, President, Bombardier Regional Aircraft.

Total firm orders for the Bombardier CRJ700 stand at 229 aircraft. The
Bombardier CRJ program, the largest in regional aircraft history, has received
1,356 firm orders to date.

I flew their POI back to CVG from CLT today. She said she was part of the delivery crew for this airplane. Seemed like a nice lady.

What are the pay rates for the 200/700 at PSA? I was under the impression that the 700 was going to the Mid-Atlantic WO'd.

700 payrates (and staffing for that matter) at PSA are not yet negotiated, and the 70 seaters going to Mid Atlantic are the EMB 170s, not the Bombardier equipment.

Congrats PSA. Glad to see them go your way instead of Mesa's way.

Good luck on the Pay negotiations.

The aircraft may still go MESA's way if a deal isn't worked out soon. I don't think GE and USAirways are enjoying paying for several aircraft to sit in a hangar. Don't expect to see a deal until the Mainline MEC allows 50/50 staffing and PSA date of hire for seniority. There are a lot of PO'd junior guys who will not vote for anything less.

That being said, it does feel good having more aircraft brought within the USAirways group, instead of being farmed out.

Nice looking airplane - saw it sitting on the ramp doing engine runs in DAY today. I hope you get better payrates for it than you did your 50 seaters (no flame intended)...

No flame taken, but please keep in mind that those 50 seat rates were given as concessions prior to entering bankruptcy for the purpose of not having to give any more while in bankruptcy. Was it the best or worst idea? Not sure, but thats what was going on.

Now as for the 70 seaters, for those that are getting ready to pounce on us with the "hold the line" drum, you might as well start now. I would'nt expect anything more than what MidAtlantic agreed to. Which is still more than an "unnamed" favorite contractor of mine, but still bad. Its just the way I think its gonna go.

No new hires in the 328.

Not sure but I think all new hires are for -200 initially, then differences later (at recurrent perhaps) for a cross-trained pilot group flying both planes interchangeably. Most likely of course, nothing's certain until class starts. ;)

Saw it in DAY yesterday at the hangar.....very nice looking airplane....congrats to you all!
