Here is an odd question. Let say my boss lands a job in Europe being a U.S. Ambassador. Is there any way he would be able to taking his plane and the crew and plane with him. Anyone ever heard of this happening?

I don't see why not? Unless the new country has some law preventing this private owner set up. I think netjets europe aircraft all bare an N registration.

The Saudi Ambassador to the United States, Prince Bandar (sp?), had his own 707-720 and upgraded to a Airbus 340 in the United States when he was the Ambassador.

The aircraft had Saudi registration.

Of course you can, look at at all the ambassadors who get nominated; large donations to Gearge W, normally GV owners! Ah, can think of two off hand who have their GV in europe with them.

Infact I fly ambassador for non US country in his own aircraft. It makes clearing customs around the world a sinch!

Was that the A340 parked on the taxiway in front of Signature IAD?

All NetJets Europe program aircraft are registered in Portugal as that is where the company is based. They are all CS-xxx.

A few years ago, the US ambassador to Ireland routinely flew KBED to EINN/EIDW in his own G-IV...not sure who it is these days.
