Hey guys, Been awhile since I messed around with one, but what is the difference between an O-290B and an O-290D? Don't have any books in the shop anymore on it and just curious, it's to help a friend out. Thanks in advance.

Per Lycoming SSP 204 there is no O-290-B. There is an O-290D2B that is 140 HP which is 10 HP more than the O-290-D which shpows 130 HO. I was always of the belief that the "D" was 125 HP and the "D2" series were 135 HP.

It been a few years but I thought my Pacer had a 125hp O290-D on it. It wasnt enough!
