Waiting for the NWA guys that deny jumpseats to The Jetblue boys to jump on this one......

Those rates suck.

YourPilotfriend,

What is the feeling over there, it appears you have all the info from the TA, do you think this going to pass?

So, there are two payscales? The one I posted above, and one for furloughs. The ones I had seemed to cover all jet sizes in the TA. Little confused here, can you help out.

I think that the answer lays with what change are included in the 1113c motion that is before the judge.

The second payrates are Sjet for furloughed pilots, the first are mainline rates.

Yeah....what he said.... the last rates posted are for SJet: 51-76 seats operated by new, wholly owned feeder (Sjet for now.....think Mid-Atlantic). The rates you posted at the top are for the different configurations of 77-110 seat A/C operated at mainline NWA....

I am so confused with this whole thing, But I have a question, I am assuming that they will not fill this entire sjet thing with furloughs, because not all of them will come back, does this mean they are going to go to the street for the rest, with a mainline flow up??????

Yes. Here is the reference from the SJet section of our summary:

• There would be a “flow up / flow down” between pilots at “SJet” and NWA, including new hire pilots at SJet and NWA. The flow up / down would be subject to metering limitations.

i fly boxes said:
That would go away though if this sjet company is sold like people expect right?

Maybe....

• If the successor owner of “SJet” does not comply with the Flow Up / Down provisions, the number of 51-76 seat SJs being flown by Feeder Carriers would be required to be reduced to a baseline of 55 aircraft.

Thanks for your answers.

Wishing you all the very best.

One more question. How do you get off the furlough pay scale? it seems like a form of B scale.

I guess by "flowing up" to mainline to the 77-110 seater. I think of the 77-110 seat mainline as the new B/C/D scale with the Sjet being a wholly owned feeder with some slight favoritism for the furloughed guys.

Just heard that a retirement incentive is also part of the TA:

5 months pay at current postion rate and 75 hrs/mth and medical plan paid for by current sick time balance.

Is this accurate? If so, and if pension legislation is favorable, then it seems senior pilots would be lining up to retire.

I just heard that too this morning. Not official info yet I guess. Hope it's true.

Hmmm. Doing The Spouse's math ...

For the more senior pilots, everything depends on that pension legislation. Without it, I fully expect the company to cram the plan onto the PBGC -- despite all assurances to the contrary.

would pilots who apply for SJET after nwa pilots are called in be considered scabs, or would it just be another regional

The union has to approve all of this...how could you possibly come up with the word "scabs".

Oh for Christ's sake...I can't take it anymore...with these youngsters not knowing what constitutes a scab.

Does mommy and daddy know you're playing airline pilot kid?

just a question buddy, didn't say i was going over there, take a deep breath, relax, oh and i did call my parents, and they said i could stay out and play longer.

He's got the nomenclature wrong, but I think he's saying, "If I decide that this pay and these work rules are okay, am I diminishing the profession by my tacit approval and taking the job". "Am I any worse for choosing a job with deplorable working conditions than the the NW guy who, out of fear of losing his job by taking a stand, votes yes on this lousy T/A with the naive hope that "We'll get 'em next time""?

The scab takes his bread off another man's table. The "YES" voter just stands around and watches the bakery burn down and does nothing about it. Now not only he, but also everyone else goes hungry.

A scab is a person who knowingly crosses a picket line and performs union work when that union is on strike. Period.

All of the NWA SJet terms were negotiated by and accepted by NW ALPA.

I don't know why but in the last year or so the term "scab" has been applied to just about every situation imaginable...usually by the regional folks.

Drives me crazy.
