900EX from the northeast to Aukland. How are you GV, Global, 900 guys going? Thanks.

Not yet but.........

Just had an inquiry from the boss about that very trip. We'll be doing it (maybe) in a 900B. At first glance it looks like a stop in SJC, then overnight in Hawaii, next day stop in Tahiti for an overnight and finally get to NZ.
All this with only two pilots and no FA. I'm pushing for a relief crew but then again I've been trying to get them to hire another guy for over a year now without any luck. Any way you cut it, it'll be brutal on the crew. PM me if you want to talk about it.

Global/GV - NY-Hawaii-NZ (crew swap in PHNL and off you go)

not so, young grasshopper, in a 900EX...add 2 more stops - One in California and one in Tahiti...

Is there a reason why you guys go from Hono to Aukland via Tahiti and not Fiji? Its 700 miles farther and over an hour flight time. Am I missing something?

Another stop to use that is less of a hassel is Pago Pago, Samoa. Also better line for great circle. No customs needed or prior arrangements (do not quote me though). I believe Tahiti is 96 hours prior notice. Also, you should be able to Hawaii to Auckland within FlightSafety Foundation standards. But that would be 2 LONG days!

No, the boss just said he wouldn't mind stopping in Tahiti and taking in the sights for a night or two so thats how we started looking at it.
Mine is not to reason why, hence the 10.5 hr deadhead we did last week.

yes sorry Fiji makes much more sense!....somehow thought he WANTED tahiti.

Fiji (NFFN) is in the NBAA Intl database recently (02/06) as a tech stop for a G3 PHNL-YSSY. check it out for handler info
