Hi Everyone,

I am certain you have seen employment ads that say, "No Phone Calls Please." I am placing a link here that provides you with insight, directly from HR people, about that issue and how to get around it.

Go to http://jobingtv.jobing.com/Default.asp and scroll down to the career tips section. Click on the link that poses this question and listen to the video segment.

Either I'm stupid, or they've changed it since you posted less than 3 hours ago....all that's there when I scroll down to Career tips is "Wendy Carr of Right Management Consultants" and "Asst. Phoenix Fire Chief Bob Kahn".

It looks like they did change it; that must have been last week's topic.

Basically what it said was NOT to call if it says no calls, because it would be viewed as a candidate not following directions. However, what they did say was to maybe sent a follow-up letter or an email professing your interest in the position. That would show you going above and beyond.

The website you visited is one of the sites where I serve as the Career Expert. I have done about 4-6 segments for them in the past two months. They are great to work with!
