I know for a fact that the two pilots mentioned in my previous post have attended B767/757 recurrent within the last 90 days at DAL. So there must be more to this story than just BBJ's. Sounds good for you guys so lets hope it plays out favorably.

To add fuel to the fire I ran into one of the MEC members who flies the BBJ (right seat: initials JH) and he mentioned that the point of the certificate was to be able to manage other large cabin aircraft for other companies not necessarily get more of our own. He did say that the 121 trials were going on this week in BDL but didn't mention anything specific as to the uses for that certificate aside from the aforementioned a/c management scheme.

Yeah that was the first thing I asked about after hearing about the 121 cert but the short version of JH's long answer is that it still won't happen because our management won't sign off on it. Too bad really, we had a excellent chance to get it set up a few years back but it just didn't pan out. Maybe in the future, who knows....

Well for what is worth ... I once road in a hotel van with someone who had been in a taxi which was previously occupied by a pilot who used to work with someone who has since left NJA but is still in contact with the 2nd grade teacher of that person's son who told him that she knows 9th hand for a fact that ....

Fly safe.

I don't know if Executive Jet (EJA) has any NJA DNA in it but they operated a spanking new B707-355C back in the early 70's as I recall. Finally leased it out to a real airline.
