Sometimes it's hard to tell if a post is a joke or not, especially without a little emoticon or a "j/k" to indicate an attempt at humor.

This whole "you're stealing my upgrade" has been an issue on the union board and even on here on flightinfo, so it's understandable that some people wouldn't necessarily have interpreted your post as an attempt at humor.

But if makes you feel better, maybe a bunch of us type-collecting PIC's can put the Ultra and 400XP back on our standing bids...

I'm so close it doesn't really matter. 3 more months at most. Besides, it's not like I'm flying a 70 seater for $19/hour and upgrade is critical.
Type collecting? Does't matter either b/c that just opens the seat they just left.

The X to the XL...not much of a change was it? Same long days, just shorter flights.

Days are not normally as long, though things are getting more busy. Differences + IOE pay means $1050 extra per month. . Flights are much shorter, thus much better. All in all a much better deal.
