Depends on the model; we have two versions of the 800XP, one with Honeywell avionics (separate screens), and one with Collins Proline 21 (PFD). They're operated as separate fleets; a pilot will only fly one model or the other.
Welcome to NetJets and the 800XP. It is a step back from the airplanes with the PFD and MFD set up. It will take a few sim sessions to get used to the scan but after that it becomes second nature. If you have any questions fell free to pm me.
You'll also learn about fuel cocks, earthing spigots, The value of D, gear pins, and all sorts of goofy, 1950's vintage, British stuff that the U.K. simply REFUSES to change.
The seats are great, and she's built like a tank, though.
If you get the chance, go & do the factory tour at ICT - you will see that the Hawker is built like a brick out-house! The wing skins are machined from single pieces of metal rather than several bits rivetted together!
Airframe strength probably helped out in the NJA Hawker 800XP mid-air with a glider last year (glider pilot had probably turned transponder off to save the battery!); the result was spectacular!
I think it was single engine, unreliable instruments, wheels-up landing - & the skid on the Hawker is in the maintenance manual as the standby landing system!!
Don't worry Jack, you'll love the XP. It's no Regional jet though, sorry.
You'll have to brush up on your Customer Service skills. There is nothing in the world like getting your a$$ chewed out for something someone else did at the CO, but "you are the company representative!"
You will love the flying, and the different people you fly with.
