Just got a call from a guy who was ramped next to a NJA C-X at Sun Valley. I guess there was lots of snow on the airplane. The crew attempted to remove the snow with a broom, removing just enough off the front of the a/c that the excess weight on the tail.....well, you can guess......PLOP!

Anyone wish to confirm this?

We have a policy that does not allow us to broom anything off. If it turns out the crew did this I would say a bridgeway one arrival is forthcoming

actually per the FOM snow removal by broom before deicing is approved

Sounds to me as if there's a lot of risk entailed in taking care of a very expensive airplane-plus the lives of the passengers. Just another reason that pilots should be compensated according to the level of responsibility expected of them.

Shut up you

Sounds like they should be brought in for 1st grade science class.
