Picture this scenario. I am missing the first logbook of three - containing first 320 hours of 6000 total So therefore a few of the grid squares are challenging to complete using basic deduction, though not 100% accurate. Does anyone know how I should approach this? Should I make a note on the worksheet and notate the potentially disputed squares? Or just back fill the few that are unknown and be ready to explain it. Example - due to the missing log I am unable to determine exactly how much actual/simulated IFR I have in single and multi pistons....the total in question is 45 hrs out of 400 hrs total.
Is this approached like certain companies' interviews where everything has to add up left/right/up/down or is there a certain bit of leeway given for minor mistakes logging time over the years?
Any tidbits would be welcome.

Someone else will probably advise otherwise, but I don't think it's a big deal. My times didn't match either. It was only a discrepency of 2 or 3 hours for my day/night vs total. A friend of mine was off by 10 hours, and they didn't say anything. It looks like you have enough time to meet the insurance requirements by a comfortable margin. I say if they ask tell them, otherwise take an educated guess.

This is not a surprising situation due to your profile photo. I am going to strongly discourage the high-ups in CMH to ban all OU related material/personel.:)

Anyway, I would just put a note on the sheet that explains some gaps/blanks. By your profile, you are more than qualified to fly an 8 ton aircraft. Best of luck.
