Karma's a biatch, my friend. Be careful out there.
Another trite pilot phrase like "I forgot more about aviation than you have ever learned?" What are you saying?

I think he's saying it's a foolish pilot that makes sport of another's pilot's mishap.

How often are newhires placed on the F2000? I presume QOL on that aircraft is pretty nice given the FA. How hard does the F2000 work relative to other fleet types? Do they see much Hawaii and Europe?

The DA-2000 is a nice bird and I hear QOL is good, but I just checked the seniority list and it shows the last newhires into the DA-2000 were 11 months ago. Dasso has discontinued the DA-2000 and the new DA-2EASy that's taking its place is not in the newhire pay rank so newhires won't go into it.

A little off thread...if a new hire was offered the 400xp, encore, or ultra, OR could wait one month to go to the X or 800 would it be worth the loss of one month's seniority for the bigger plane considering the 2 year lock?

As an F18 driver, I would expect you would be bored to tears flying the slow Beechjet. You probably would be happier in the Citation X speed demon even though you would be worked quite hard on that fleet.

Sure, there are people on this board who will tell you that SENIORITY IS EVERYTHING. Personally, if you are going to sit on a fleet for a few years of your life, I think the aircraft you select or that you are placed into is pretty dang important. A crappy fleet can bring down your QOL for mulitple years. In the long term, you will be able to fly whatever you want (excluding the BBJ).

Just beware, although the X is fast and sexy, it is one of the hardest working fleets out there. If you get the option of the 800XP-C, that might be a good choice because I hear that fleet is not worked as hard and the Collins version is a very nice glass cockpit that should make your life easier.

Let us know what you choose.
