I understand they put you where there need is at the time you are hired. What are your options as far as moving aircraft? I assume you are seat locked for a while? Does it depend on your home base?

Any info would be helpful

Thanks

Home base is irrelevant.

In our current contract, you're equipment locked for 24 months, but if an upgrade bid comes before that, you can take it (in any airplane). If you decide to bid another airplane as an FO, you're now equipment and seat locked for another 24 months, which could delay your upgrade if it came in under 48 months.

If our new TA passes next month, the initial equipment lock is 39 months. If you bid another airplane as an FO, it's another 39-month equipment lock. However, in this new agreement, you can wait for upgrade in your same fleet (thus no additional equipment lock), or you can upgrade into a different airplane as soon as seniority allows. Any remaining equipment lock from that second airplane you bid as an FO will simply be added to the seat lock on your first captain bid. It will no longer delay your upgrade as it did in the old contract.

Hope that helps.
