The NFL has declared that the Steelers are the Super Bowl Champs in honor of the Bus and the hype of his returning "home", etc.

The Seahawks TD that was unbelievably disallowed. The Steelers non-TD that was even more unbelievably allowed to stand. Enjoy the Rolling Stones. The only thing "real" about the game. (And they totally SUCK. )

I agree, this is a complete FARCE! I don't have a dog in this game (I'm a bronc fan, so if anything I'd like the AFC to win), but this is pathetic.

The calls have been incredibly one-sided in this game. Steelers have gotten every break in this game. Let's see if they get screwed on the possible Hasselback fumble here...

You know when the mouth (Madden) starts spewing about the "all star officiating crew" in the first 30 seconds of the game, it's gonna be a stinker.

The officiating defintely influenced a win...and loss.

Absolutely pathetic. This has to be the worst game from an officiating standpoint I have ever seen.

Oh please.

Seahawks receiver pushed off. Offensive PI.
The ball, very briefly, broke the plane on Roethlisberger's run. 6 for Pittsburgh.

Besides, the Steelers have pretty much owned Seattle in the second half.

bad officiating in the beginning but keep in mind, the Hawks left 6 points out there as well. I will agree that the penalties that keep getting called on the Hawks have been a little rediculous...and they only seem to come on big plays...hmmm. Oh well, I'm happy for Big Ben, but I would have loved to see Bettis lose his Super Bowl chance.

You don't like the Bus? I'm no Steelers fans but Bettis seems like a good, descent guy who's going to go to the HOF. I didn't mind seeing him win.

If that was an allstar crew I would hate to see their bench. Seattle got screwed on some critical calls, No push off and he did not break the plane. They influenced the outcome of the game definitely!

Seattle got screwed. Questionable offensive pass interference. No holding when Seattle gets the ball on the 2 yard line. Try to call a fumble when Hasselback was clearly down. The refs new there would be a riot if they did not overturn that call. There were 3 or 4 other calls in Pittsburgh's favor that changed the game. Give me a break the NFL wanted Pittsburgh to win. I hate saying that but this game was a complete joke. If Seattle got beat so be it. The refs did everything in their power to give the game to Pittsburgh.

F$ck the NFL...

You know, I thought that on balance it was a good game, the officials did a good job. The receiver did put the second foot out of bounds, it was clear as day.
Roethlisberger did break the plane, for about a nano second, but that's all it takes.
Seahawks had lots of mistakes, like at the end of the second quarter.

It does seem like the NFL just wants the best story to come out of each game. The Steelers fans were all upset (and rightfully so) about the calls and no calls against them when they played the Colts. With the Colts out, now the most feel good story was to have the Steelers win with Bettis. I don't know if Seattle would have won or not if those questionable calls would have been made correct (not talking about Ben's touchdown), but the game sure would have been better and more of what was expected. Besides, the NFL sure can't let go of the Pats, having Bellicheck on the post game, and Brady doing the coin flip. WTF? I can think of a lot more deserving and better people I would like to see do the coin flip, not a current NFL player. By the 4th quarter, I felt like I was watching a manufactured game.

Mystery holding call would have put the seahawks on the pitt 1. 2 plays later Hasselbeck throws a pick. That call changed the outcome of the game.

Then Hasselbeck getting a 15 yard penalty for making the tackle on the pick, give me a break. As bad as it gets.

MVP-Leary (the referee). The worst officiating I have seen. Absolutley disgusting.

I preface all of this by saying that Seattle is a VERY VERY good team who really showed up in the 1st half.

Big Ben doesn't throw that INT and it's a blowout. But, as bad as the throw was, it was the right read, he just should have thrown it higher and deeper (like toward the corner). But Ben's throw to Hines on 3rd and 20 something showed amazing poise for a 23 yr old. Plus his running ability ate up precious clock in the 4th Qtr.

Seattle's receiver pushed off in the endzone. Watch the tape. If you extend your arm like that righ in front of the REF, he's calling it. Ref was reaching for the flag BEFORE the DB even said anything to him.

Seattle's coaching staff (ie Holmgren) decides he's NOT going to gain some more yardage for his kicker (twice). 5 yards closer and that's 6 more points and a completely different game.

The league MVP was completely held in check. Hasselbeck is a heck of a QB and had a really nice game.

If your tight-end could catch the ball, maybe the outcome would have been different.

The MVP of that game should have been Casey Hampton, but interior defensive linemen get no credit (and he had a phenomenal game).

Hines is certainly a great receiver (although even he dropped a few).

Steelers were outgained and lost the time of possession and turnover battles, but still managed to force Seattle into long field goal attempts.

Willie Parker's run!!!!!!

Randel-El's TD pass!!!!!

ONE FOR THE THUMB!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did you see the Indy-Pit game?

F$ck the NFL...

Clark Haggans beat SEA's Right Tackle, and so the guy arm locked him--I never thought the REFs would see that, but I'm screaming at the TV.

The Hasselback fumble would have been a fumble if he hadn't been touched in the way down by Larry Foote. At game speed it was hard to see if he was touched. That's what the replay is for, and they got the call right.

Did Big Ben cross the goal? I thoght he did, but SEATTLE fans act like that was 4th down. It was 3rd, and Cower said he was going for it on 4th, so who knows. That's not why you lost the game. You gave up too many big plays, and left points out there after a few good drives.

Clock management by Holmgren was also questionable at the end of the game.

I agree, that Seattle had lots of opprotunities that they didn't capitalize on.
I too, thought, at game speed, that it was a fumble.
I really questioned the clock management by Seattle, twice.

I thought the triple (double??) reverse that resulted in a touchdown was phenominal. :smash: In the end, Pit won. It was a hard fought game, unlike some where it's a blowout.
