Time will tell, lets wait and see how many additional jets Mesa will put with Usair, and how their contracts will be extended

Per the transition agreement, there is a cap on the amount of large regional jets that can be deployed at the "new" USAirways. This cap is currently exceeded and is in arbitration.

Besides, who in their right mind would finance new airplanes for Mesa. They couldn't even get financing on the 10 -700s for United. You can't on one hand tell Bombardier to shove it and take back all these 50 seaters, and on the other say, oh, since we are here anyways, hows about you give us a sweet deal on some bigger more expensive jets... pleeeasssssee!

Liquidation?!?
Most here are predicting Mesa's future with their hopes and dreams of them shutting down.
When it comes to reality, unfortunately, those scum bags will be around for ever.
JO isn't stupid. He will find a way to molest the employees once again.

Bombardier doesn't care. They do not hold the lease notes. Most are held by wells fargo and G.E. So in fact they just make Mesa a sweet deal on more CRJs for the simply reason of wanting to make $ with A/C orders.

Bombardier may not care but what bank is going to loan Mesa the money for these planes. NONE..

Who else are they going to loan them to? Iraq Air? After Bankruptcy their position will be much stronger, leaner and meaner. Look for more flying for Delta and Airways.

I think Iraqi Airways was actually looking for some CRJ drivers recently. Based in Jordan or something, not in Iraq, but flights in Iraq of course.

i would disagree except for the new contract with freedom?
The only hope is that the industry recognizes an inferior product, (unlikely, with the low operating costs) and chooses a better option, again unlikely!
God help us all and pass judgment on the bean counters and bottom feeders. oh and for the jerks who left the industry but continue to post here? please go find a job and contribute to the economy rather than be an additional expense, :uzi:(wayblack)

Aw, badog, did I hurt you wittle feewings? I so sorry!
I told you before, I didn't leave the industry. I just won the lottery and moved on up to the East Side...to the 91/135 side.
It's ok, I understand that they didn't teaching you reading and comprehension at Jet-U where you got all your fantastic training.
It's ok, I understand where you're coming from. I've spent 4yrs at the regionals, but I'm not the type to sit around and "hope" the industry changes for the better. Because in my 4 years, I one contractual pay cut, and another cut when put back on reserve. My financial stability isn't worth being a "real pilot", taking shots on the chin from management just to "pay my dues". I just want to let you know that it's ok. You're not the only one sitting around making excuses for this sad 121 industry. You guys can all hug and make each other feel better, tell each other it's ok and that it HAS to get better.

Now help me out on this tough choice I have to make. My wife always wants to drive my BMW, so I am going to buy her one of her own. What color do you like best? Silver, White or Black? I know they have other colors, but we'd have to wait 6 months for it to be shipped over here.
