Time will tell, lets wait and see how many additional jets Mesa will put with Usair, and how their contracts will be extended
The only way to do that is to buy PSA.

Most here are predicting Mesa's future with their hopes and dreams of them shutting down.Liquidation?!?
Per the transition agreement, there is a cap on the amount of large regional jets that can be deployed at the "new" USAirways. This cap is currently exceeded and is in arbitration.
Besides, who in their right mind would finance new airplanes for Mesa. They couldn't even get financing on the 10 -700s for United. You can't on one hand tell Bombardier to shove it and take back all these 50 seaters, and on the other say, oh, since we are here anyways, hows about you give us a sweet deal on some bigger more expensive jets... pleeeasssssee!
Bombardier doesn't care. They do not hold the lease notes. Most are held by wells fargo and G.E. So in fact they just make Mesa a sweet deal on more CRJs for the simply reason of wanting to make $ with A/C orders.
Bombardier may not care but what bank is going to loan Mesa the money for these planes. NONE..
Who else are they going to loan them to? Iraq Air? After Bankruptcy their position will be much stronger, leaner and meaner. Look for more flying for Delta and Airways.

i would disagree except for the new contract with freedom?
The only hope is that the industry recognizes an inferior product, (unlikely, with the low operating costs) and chooses a better option, again unlikely!
God help us all and pass judgment on the bean counters and bottom feeders. oh and for the jerks who left the industry but continue to post here? please go find a job and contribute to the economy rather than be an additional expense, :uziwayblack)
