If someone else posted this, I appologize.

Toyota posted an opening for a Captain in LGB on 2/4 on their careers page.

It doesn't say what type it's for but the application asks about GV and GIV and international travel.

Good luck.TC

I heard there flight department was good does anybody know?

It's a good flight department operated to Japanese sensibilities. Much transoceanic travel. You often will look over to the right seat to see a contract pilot.

GV

GV

I've never understood the logic behind that. Why not employ both crewmembers rather than an experienced Captain and a P/T Co-Pilot? Are they tripping over dollars to pickup dimes?

Isn't 3000 hrs considered low to be flying a Gulfstream? And does anybody know pay, schedule, and benefits. And this add seems to pop up every couple of months. Is this due to turnover or growth.

I know a guy who just got hired into the right seat of a GII and GIII and he had just under 600 tt and 50 multi. No Shait.

Maybe some of the ex-military SAM guys could have that little time. GVflyer would know.

Maybe they're hiring EEOC types and they need low mins...TC

he paid for his own training and it wasnt cheap. Dont agree with the means of getting the job but what can you do.

He might be a sharp fella, but he's going to be so FAR behind that airplane that I'm sure the CA will feel like he's flying single pilot.

I'm all for giving a guy a break, but lets not go overboard.

Could you list the web address to find this? I couldn't find it. Thanks.

Funny thing. As the price of these airplanes goes down so does the savy of the owners. Not to throw stones at this guy. I am sure that he is the best 600/50 hour pilot in the world.

As the collective price a GII's and the like goes down so do the savy of these owners. Would you have ever heard of a 600 hour pilot flying a GII in 1990? I am sure that it did happen but not with the frequency that I hear about today.

The GII is becoming what the old Lear's were in the 90's.

It's on the Toyota.com page under "About Toyota". That will get you to the Careers section and then you can do a job search under California/Aviation/Captain...

In case you haven't figured it out, Toyota is a BIG corporation. The bigger the company, the more byzantine and complex their websites! :D TC

Yeah i dont think its right. I told him how i felt about PFT but he looks as an investment so what can you do. Hope it all works out for him and he doesnt get shafted after dropping that kind of money.

My time to be a dick but............................................

When he does get shafted (and odds are he will) I hope he realizes that it was probably not the best investment. Going to be kinda tough explaining how he got that job w/ such little time to his next employer without giving up the goods. And I won't go into how he shafts everyone else in the industry not willing to whore themselves out by PFTing. But hey, it's okay he got his and "it was a good investment".

I just want to make it clear that he said it was a good investment. Not me. I just landed my first airline gig a couple weeks ago and I am not paying for anything. I dont agree with PFT. We all spend enough just to earn our ratings. I hope he doesnt get reamed because he is a friend. He is a good pilot and i would hate to see him get shafted. I gave him my 2 cents but it didnt do any good.
