Our client

Client Profile
Our client is a growing Turkish based cargo operator who operates cargo flights on scheduled services, charter services, ad-hoc base and ACMI. By July 2006 they have a fleet of 5 Airbus A300-B4 freighter aircraft. This year HBK Investments, a Dallas based hedge fund with capital exceeding 9 billion US$, has invested 25 million US$ in our Istanbul based client. HBK’s move is the first of its kind in the history of Turkish aviation, coming during a very fruitful era for the country in terms of foreign direct investment inflow. The country’s civil aviation has seen its fleet double in the last two years with Boeing forecasting another 100% growth in the next 5 years.

Base of operation
For the time being Istanbul is the main base. Furthermore our client has a stand in Cologne for their operation on behalf of UPS. In the near future our client is planning to fly out of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, Baku, Azerbaijan and Teheran, Iran.

Nature of operation
Until September our client will fly only on ad-hoc charter basis. As from September our client is planning to fly, almost daily between Istanbul, Turkey and Frankfurt, Germany. In addition our client is planning to fly 3 times a week from Istanbul, Turkey to London Gatwick, United Kingdom, to Amsterdam, The Netherlands and back to Istanbul, Turkey. The schedules for aircrafts based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, Baku Azerbaijan and Teheran, Iran are under discussion.

7000 per mo. ??? 10000 would be more up to speed..

I agree, 7000 is way low of the mark. I currently fly widebody international and make more than that as a F/O!!! Also, have a friend who makes 12,000 as a F/O but then he works in a part of the world where you NEED an incentive to get good, experienced crews.

Yeah, THR and GYD all sound great....where can I sign up??
