Came across these job openings with relatively low minimum requirements. Hopefully someone out here will make good use of them! Both are still current as I checked their websites.

Job 1: Dow Corning seeking 2 Pilots for it's Michigan operation.

Job 2: Southern Company Services is seeking a PILOT for it's Mississippi (Gulfport) operation.

Again, I hope someone out here can put these to good use.

GOOD LUCK!

Relativly low mins, uh..................?

First Class FAA medical
135 (Air Taxi) experience preferred
1000 total time minimum
500 multi engine
100 actual instrument
100 night
250 cross country
500 PIC
100 turbine

Yeah, those are low mins... my companies competitive mins are:

First Class FAA medical
5,000 total time minimum
2,500 multi engine
500 actual instrument
500 night
2,500 cross country
1,500 PIC
1,000 turbine
500 jet
at least 1 turbo-jet type rating

NOW does that jobs mins look "low"?

Yeah, those are low mins...

No offense to the low time guys here, but I hope to God they don't actually hire someone with these mins, especially on a jet that goes international.

I'm always amazed that someone would have 1000 hours, but not 100 night. I guess maybe a CFI that spent 750 hours in the right seat...but I LOVE flying at night, and about 35% of my time is in that column.

Having 10% be actual instrument is pretty tough - especially around where I am. I'm going to have to pick some crappy weather days and launch in an IFR 150. Just piss off AUS one day and log 10 hours of actual and 20 approaches. That'll teach 'em!

One day I'll be burning kerosene, but I can't imagine it'll be at 1000 hours.

And someday...maybe I'll get a chance to have a screen name like 750driver!

What an awesome airplane. Sigh....

(Sorry guys...I'm a bit bored) :p
