Found this on skyjobs.net .... could this be for real - NOT PFT I mean

Atlanta area part 91 operator has an opening for a 12 contract/paid SIC internship on a Beechjet 400. Company will pay for training and travel expenses in addition to a very modest compensation. Applicants will need approximatley 500 ME to be considered. This is an opportunity for a low time pilot having difficulty landing thier first flying job. A full time position with salary and benefits could possibly be available at some point in the future. For details and contact information please login to your www.aviationcareer.com account.

Low time and 500 ME?? Good Luck........

I saw this Beechjet SIC listing on another job website and it raised an eye brow. For starters how much flying are you going to be doing with 11 other SIC's? And it said low time ok, with 500 ME hours. I dont know about you all, but I dont know many guys with low time and 500 ME hours. The only people i can think of with low time and 500 ME are some CFI's from the florida flight schools and a person or two who had good connections with a local coporate outfit, but then again maybe i dont know enough people.

They are probably targeting all of the pilots coming out of military flight school. Most of them will have several hundred hours of ME time including the BE400 type rating. Just a thought?

I think it means 12 MONTH contract/paid SIC internship. Here's what I get from it: They'll send you to Simuflite or FSI for a 61.55 endorsement, and pay you $100-150/day to act as SIC in their airplane. Possibly a good opportunity for somebody, but I agree I'd rather have a JOB than an INTERNSHIP.

I don't know of anybody with 500ME that is going to want to make peanuts just to say they fly a bizjet. That being said, I'm BE40 current & qualified, and if they upped the pay to $250-300/day I'd probably send in an app.

Anybody have a company name and/or other information on this gig?

Couldnt somebody with 500ME get a type and be a trained PIC on this AC?? Just a thought but 500ME is hard to come by for low timers. Even 250ME would be quite a bit for a low timer.....
any other thoughts?

It can be done, but I'd want a very experienced co-pilot with me if that was the case. I doubt it would happen though since FSI requires 1,000 hrs total time before they'll give you a type rating
