PLANTATION, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--DHL, the world’s leading express delivery and logistics company, announced today that it has won a three-year, multimillion-dollar agreement with Strike Ten Entertainment, the marketing arm of the Bowling Proprietors' Association of America (BPAA). Under the new agreement, DHL estimates it will ship an annual 20 million pounds of product and equipment to and from bowling centers, manufacturers and distributors.
“We’re thrilled to join forces with DHL, a company with a reputation for providing the most reliable and flexible shipping services in the world,” said Jim Sturm, Chairman of Strike Ten Entertainment. “As our industry continues on a path of exponential growth, DHL will help us increase our distribution efficiencies within our network of bowling centers.” BPAA’s network of more than 3,400 bowling centers will be able to take full advantage of DHL’s domestic and international network for shipping marketing materials, equipment and merchandise. As part of the agreement, DHL will also have a brand presence at upcoming bowling conferences through the placement of DHL shipping stations and trade show booths. In addition, DHL will be highlighted in direct mail and e-mail campaigns, and in rotating advertisements on the Web sites for the United States Bowling Congress and the BPAA.
“We’re delighted to partner with Strike Ten to improve shipping and distribution among its centers,” said Charles Brewer, executive vice president of sales for DHL. “This partnership also provides a tremendous national platform for both of our organizations to reach new customers and showcase our strengths around customer satisfaction, customer experience, brand loyalty and flexibility.”
Michael A. Neuman, president of Amplify Sports and Entertainment whose team brokered the agreement adds, “As shipping demand in the bowling industry continues to grow, both nationally and internationally, it’s gratifying to have DHL as a partner that truly understands our industry and has tailored their services around those needs.”
