Thats awesome-Congrats! I remember when I got mine, someone at the flight school I was teaching at told me that I wouldn't be a flight instructor until I was done with my third student. I kind of took that as an insult. But after my third student, I understood what he was talking about. Ask questions, here, or anywhere. Everyone will be more than willing to help. I asked at least one to a thousand questions a day, even after 3 years of teaching. We had an instructor that was teaching for 25 years and he asked me a question one day-Felt kind of good, even though I didn't know that answer... Learn as much as you can everyday, even from your students. One of mine taught me a better way to teach steep turns and I used it from that day on. I remember my first day of teaching in the plane. I had flown for three years at this airport before I started instructing so I knew that airport real well. When we got our taxi instructions, I froze and for the life of me couldn't figure out where to go. I covered it up saying that I wanted to teach my student progressive taxi's...embarrassing. You will have some real stories too. They may suck at the time, but they are great stories at the bar-and here on the dorky pilot series...Congrats again, keep us updated, and ask those questions!
