Anyone out there getting that wonderful call from the SWA PD for an interview date lately - past week or so?

If so, when was your call and subsequent interview date?

Tweek:p

LUV the Call!

Tweek,
Got the call today--and yes it is wonderful! Had a few choices of interview dates scattered through the first three weeks in April to chose from.

Smiling!

Got the call today too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Several days in the first weeks of April to choose from. Absolutely, cannot wait!!!

What time of day did your phone calls come? I need an excuse to not watch the phone sit on the charger, at least while I eat breakfast.

Qualifications

Congratulations! What are the dates you all chose?

Could you let everyone know your quals? Hours as they appear on the SWA app, typed, and if you were evaluators, IP's, etc...

Thanks!

In addition, could you please post your initial application date. I am beginning to wonder if I chose the wrong route to try to make it to WN (civilian). Any civies out there get an interview call that had less than 6K hours? Thanks in advance and Congrats on the interviews guys....hopefully mine will come soon also.

FWIW - pick the earliest interview date offered. I have heard that with the new system, pool priority will be assigned by scoring, not by interview date. I.e. all the March interviewee's will be assessed together as a group.

My two cents.

Its still interview date or type date which ever is later.

I got the call!

I was called on Monday, but out on a trip. Returned the call yesterday on 3/16/04, and I have an April 7 interview date!

I have all civilian time and have about 2300 PIC on the 727. Also have 500 SIC hours on the 737. I have flown about 500 hours in the last year as PIC in the 727. I hope this info helps anyone applying as to what stats S.W. is looking for.

I am now trying to prepare for the interview. Anyone have any help on where to focus my attention?

Thanks and very excited!

Rick

Congrats to all those getting the calls. Yesterday at EPT the chief pilot talked a little bit about hiring, he said all the interviewees so far have been "rock stars." I think we may see a higher than normal hiring percentage given the exceptional amount of experience the folks currently interviewing have.

Everything else he said was the same stuff you've read on here- 400 a year for the next three years at least and 300 upgrades this year.

Good luck to all the interviewees, hope to see you here soon!

Tweek, when did your App go in, looks like lately based on your forum signup date, thanks

Sorry, above referenced to learherkjay

I was probably one of the last paper applications in last year before they shut the system down - Mar 31 last year. Right after I got the type.

Thanken you. Seems on schedule then, best of luck!

Pig,
Here is some of the info you requested. Put original paper app in Spring '02 after getting type rating from HPA--awesome program. All mil time. Evalutor. 2400 PIC and 700 SIC. Hope this helps in the decoding.

No, I was never at Express One. I am a Furloughed US Airways guy and have been working for a non-scheduled 121 operater for the last 2 years. We fly D.O.D, vacationers to the islands, sports teams, and prisoners for the US Marshalls Service.

I was fortunate to be employed right after my furlough, but the flying can be brutal at a non-sched. International flying has no duty period limitations and part 91 tail-end ferry flights can put you at 14-15 block hours for a day.

Being all civilian, I feel very fortunate to get the call!

Regards,

Rick

brutal flying

I worked for a company that allowed 24 hours on duty with a possible extension to 26. We then got 15 off before the next leg. Trips were up to 17 days long.

Got the call

Had a surprise waiting for me returning from an overseas trip yesterday. I had a message from SWA for an April interview invite. Looks like an April 13th date for me. There were a couple dates to choose from , mid month and end of the month.

I applied in Jun 2001

737 Type

3500 Military KC-135/C-21

Civilian DC-10 SO currently

1600 PIC

She said she was still making some calls, so hang in there!

I had a message also, but I have had no luck trying to call her back, everytime I call it go's to voice mail, I guess I will keep trying
