Good numbers. 212 CA vacancies and 268 FO vacancies. Looks like we will need around 500 pilots between now and June of 07.

The vacancies on a bid have nothing to do with people, it has to do with manpower positions. Those vacancies aren't created because people are leaving Newark, they're created from flying hours the company plans to fly out of Newark a year from now.

The "nobody wants to stay in EWR" does contribute to it being the most junior base, but it has nothing to do with bid vacancies.
 
I wouldn't mind getting my hands on that IAH 777 FO 1 seat. :)

Am I right in thinking that they have been inundated with apps since they started recruiting again (stupid question)
