Ex-Sun Country, AirCal, and I think an international VP at American.

I hear he lives on the Robin Masters estate, drives a sporty Ferrari and wears short shorts and a Detroit Tigers hat.

He is know as a turn-around guy in the airline biz.

type his name in google and you will find a bunch of articles

Here is an example:

"In May 2003, the airline (Air Jamaca) hired a new COO, David Banmiller, to turn around the operations of the airline. Banmiller had a track record of success in helping airlines improve operational performance, focusing on teamwork, empowerment of employees and making process improvements."

Turn-around from what? Isn't AQ telling everyone things are peachy?

Well if you just had a bunch of losing quarters, I think it is time to change direction.
Privately owned companies benefit from showing a loss. No pake company truly loses that much for that long. Trust in knowing that at the end of the day, the Ching's and Ings pocket plenty of cash.

Oh ya, I know they are sucking the cash out of AQ.
But something is up with them hiring a bunch of top level managers in the last 6 months from outside the company.
