Kalitta Charters Launches Sister Airline and provides a chance to join the YIP on-demand pilot force

Kalitta Charters, based at YIP, launched a sister airline April 2004
called Kalitta Charters II (KC2) with one DC-9 and two B-727s.
Qualified pilots interested in applying may submit their resumes by
mail to Dave Brunsgaard, Director of Operations, 843 Willow Run
Airport, Ypsilanti TWP, MI, 48198. Minimums for Captains and First
Officers are 2,000 TT, 1,000 COMM/ INST/ME, Class I medical, and type
rating preferred; and for Professional Flight Engineers a PFE
certificate, turbojet rating, Class II medical, and an A&P license.
Additional bases include ELP and MOR. .

We see the Kalitta Charters 727 guys at the hub in Dayton nightly. Appears that they are operating two 727s there now. I can't remember what citys they fly but I think that MSP is one of them. Seems like an interesting pilot group especially the strange captain with the beard! What a hoot! The rumour is that the guy knocked up his longtime faa inspector girlfriend and then ran like a scared cat. I guess he probably didnt want Connie to know he was sleeping with the enemy! LOLOLOL.

Is a 4 year degree required??

Sorry Yip, couldnt resist. :)

Have a great Christmas!

Absolutely requires 4 years

Not preferred but a hard requirement, all applicants must have 4 years of formal schooling.

whoops! left this out beyond 6th grade

If he's already got an airline under the Kalitta name, why is he starting another airline under the same name ?

121 Supplemental Certificate vs. the 135 Certificate of Kalitta Charters (Can't put 727's and DC9's on a 135)

Kalitta Air (747's) Is run by Connie (Callsign: Connie)

Kalitta Charters (Lears & DA20's) & Kalitta Charters II (727's & DC9) is run by Doug (Callsign: Kalitta)

What a great Avatar! Close to my heart. The Kalitta II Charters is the old Relient 121 Certificate and I believe the one DC-9 they operate is an ex-Relinet DC-9.

I thought you'd get a kick out of that one I actually smirked when I saw it.
