Someone told me today that there was a new B757 operation in New York. First class seats to Europe. Now I know about Primaris and I think there is a new BWI operation called Skylink? Anybody have any info out of curiosity.

I applied online to skylink ( I have about 500 TT) and I received a letter yesterday.

Of course it was a negative answer But Let me tell you that I felt good since it was the first letter I received from an airline. It was politely saying that I should reapply when I meet their minimums( 5000TT, only one more zero to go!)
It was signed by the HR responsible with her own hand, which proves that she has time on her hands( I dont if its a good sign)
They will fly 767 I think.

ETOPS,

Skylink Airways is different from Primaris...as far as I can tell. Googled Skylink Airways but couldn't find a website but someone said they applied on it so it's out there somewhere. Skylink is supposed to start BWI-EU service in May, '05.

Skylink is also the name of some airlines in other parts of the world. Don't know if they're all related.

Skylink airways out of BWI? do you have any info about the outfit? address and type of A/C's they are planning to fly?

I live near BWI and would love to apply. Thank you for your help.

ETOPS,

Sorry, I don't but will post if I find it.

Just for kicks i sent a resume to Primaris awhile back and got a thanks but no thanks response from them a short time later. They wanted some crazy stuff like a type and so many hrs in type along with extensive international travel. A few other things as well, just to be an F/O in a jet. I thought it was a little overboard, but i am sure there are people out there who can meet those requirements and will get the jobs. I will try to find where i posted the response on this board and link it here so you can see exactly what i got from them.

Found it, here ya go...

Ensure that you have submitted a cover letter with your resume, and attach any letters of recommendation.

Cover letter must include the following information:
Describe why you want to work for Primaris Airlines
Include your definition of Customer Service
Describe your ideal company culture
Tell us how others would describe your attitude
Tell us the Skills/Talents you would bring to Primaris Airlines

The only acceptable formats for all documents are Microsoft Word or Adobe Acrobat. "Zipped" files, .wps, .wks, etc. files will not be accepted. If you do not have Microsoft Word or Adobe Acrobat, you can download a free word processing program capable of generating a Microsoft Word formatted document at http://www.openoffice.org

Competitive minimum requirements are:
-Part 121 Captain Experience
-757/767 type rating with Part 121 Captain experience in type.
-International (other than Canada/Mexico/Caribbean)

You've all probably got this already, but here's the website to Skylink Airways:

www.skylinkairways.com There's an online pilot application.

There's apparently more than one Skylink in the world. If you Goggle it, there is a EU outfit by the same name. The one above is the US version.

Hope this helps.

Sounds like the newest scumbag carrier on the block. I hope I am wrong, but given the current state of affairs in aviation it is probably the newest LLC with substandard pay and benifits. A late entry to the race to the bottom.

Please correct me if I am wrong and I will recant everything that I said. Like I said, I am hoping to be wrong.
