From FAA.gov:

AD 2005-04-07

New cold weather ops AD for all Challenger series including CRJ's. My question is, why only Challengers? Should this apply to everything with wings? I realize the Challenger has had a couple tough months, but this seems a little narrow minded to me.

Not the first time an AD like this came out. The DC-9-10 with hard wings had a similar procedure.

Unless I am mistaken (somebody will let me know! :) ) All the airplanes listed in the above AD are hard wing models, i.e. no slats.
