I think L4B has it right. Not that you don't have the background, but it seems like there has been a BIG shift to the customer service side of the interview. PERHAPS what they have done is brought back the phone interview process because of such a low hire rate. Meaning that since so few are being selected they are going back to the phone interview as a way to weed people out and, as previously stated, save the time and expense of a face to face.

You'll do well though, so I wouldn't sweat it.

Good theory, however, I have been flying charter for 3 years. Beyond that, I had a few years of customer service work that was not aviation related. What is even more weird is that I live in Columbus so they wouldn't have to spend any money to get me there and lodge me there.

Who knows what they are doing? It makes me nervous though because there has been little to no gouge on the phone stuff.

This is the last thread on the phone interview. There isn't really much more that I have found about it.

good luck Starchecker! Be yourself and enjoy it and you will do fine

Has anyone with turbo-prop time been called at all? From all of the gauge I have read, it seems like NJ wants jet time.
Would that be a gas gauge or an oil gauge?
Just hang in there, our dept. is swamped. Hope your TBP time is PIC. That would be a difference over a guy with jet time SIC.

I talked to someone one got interviewing today, he said they were told the HR phone interviews have been brought back.

Do all applicants receive an email stating their application was "received". I applied about a month ago which I know is a nano second in the world of applications but I hadn't recieved an email stating application "received".

I have many NetJets pilots on our planes to pick up their jets, they are all super nice and and encourge the crew to apply. Just trying to get through the front door any suggestions?

Best of luck to those with a scheduled interview and those waiting for the call. NJW

I think the average from the time you actually put your app in until the accepted e-mail is about 2 months (with an internal rec).
