Haven't been paying attention lately but the message from the FWG indicated an aircraft order of 80 and a fleet reduction of some 110 aircraft???
Someone enlighten me please.

The number of airplanes that they plan to reduce is impossible to determine. Management has put out at least 10 different numbers that are wildly different. As far as airplanes on order, the Phenom 300 is a 50 airplane firm order with options for another 75. How many are taken and how many go to NJE is anyones guess. Overall the company will probably be smaller for the next many years and may never overall grow again. It is impossible to tell what will really happen with the overall size since if the economy ever really gets humming again, it will be hard to say no to customers who want to spend to get into the program. My guess is that the only real growth in the next 5 years will be in China/ Asia now that the company is applying for all the licensing to get started in China. Who flies the airplanes there, what they fly, and when they really get started is all up in the air.

I'd say that this order is good news. We have sat around for over a year now wondering what the 5 and 10 year plan is. This order is at least an indicator that their actually is a 5 and a 10 year plan.

Good news for the employee's from what I can tell.

Those are good numbers, but the NJE percentage is 20%. I assume that will be taken out of the first order. At least that was the word in recurrent a month ago.

Ultra's are already going to the bone orchard, and we'll be rid of all thirty by mid-December.

As to the first post, thirty 560's, another thirty 800's, and some of the older ten's...I guess you could get to around 110.
