Just wondering if anyone has interviewed recently and has up to date info and hints, tips, advice etc for me. I interview at the end of this month so anything would be helpful! Thanks

Incase people are wondering I sent in my app about 6 months ago with 1 LOR and just heard back at the end of December so it took a really long time so hang in there if you havent heard anything yet!

cool thanks, I checked it out but nothing really up to date since the new interview, anybody have anything from this month?

Good timing for you if you are a Skyway pilot like your name suggests. Former Skyway guy here as well. Good luck. You'll love it here if you get the job. PM me if you have any questions.

You might want to check again. If you sort by interview date there are four or five different outlines in the past few weeks that are very comprehensive.

Just curious
Anyone know if NJ is giving anytype of hiring preferance to other fractional pilots or other typed pilots?
Thanks for the info

We had a mix in my interview group. About four fractional guys, four regional guys, a charter guy and a retired mainline guy. One of the fractional guys was also retired 121. It doesn't seem like they actually hired heavily from any one group.

simulator-

Good CRM, give your sim partner a good take off brief. Fly slow 180-200 ks, that way you give yourself time to think and see what's going on. If they're short on time, that's their problem. Use your partner, let him/her do as much as possible, you just worry about where you are on the approach and fly the airplane. Get configured early, and extremely important-your approach MUST be stabilised below 1000 ft.-s*** out, vref, on glide, on slope (most important part of the sim), don't be chasing needles below 1000 ft, that's a BAD, BAD thing. If it comes to that, go around, its a good opportunity to show them good jugdment, and your ability to fly a published missed approach.

To add to CALRebuplic's post, keep your partner out of trouble when she or he's flying. Don't let that person enter a holding pattern incorrectly, for instance. The sim evaluators aren't looking just for your hand-flying or instrument skills but also for you operate in a crew environment.
