I interviewed 10/03/2004 at NJI headquarters in Oakatie, South Carolina.

The actual face to face interview process took about 20 minutes.

There were 3 interviewers: The Director of Aviation, Vice President of Operations and Director of Human Resourses.

The interview questions were very basic: Why NetJets International, How do you handle a Captain that is having a bad day, Are you married?, kids?, Where will you live? Nothing offensive, just an honest who are you and where you been/coming from bunch of questions. VERY RELAXED

Nine total were interviewed. All had varied back grounds. Eight men one women. Couple had Corporate/Gulfstream time, couple airline captains, couple retired airline captains and three military guys (two airforce/one navy).

NJI expects to get 9 additional airplanes a year throught 2009. All the GIVs are starting to be replaced on a one for one basis with a mix of the G550, G500 and G450.

I will be notified via snail mail.

I was very happy to get the call for an interview.

I am a G550 Captain now who works the no hard days off always on call schedule.

I can't even imagine having a hard schedule. I could actually have a life. I might even see my kids.

How do you apply?
Address?
CP name?
Is it commutable?
thanks

Were the 5 MEC members among those interviewed?

Based on what I have read on this board, I would think that's the better of the divisions to work for at that company.
It'll be a great place to work if you eventually want to wind up about 2300 on the NetJets seniority list.

Starman, my understanding is NJI has totally broken away from operations in Columbus, Ohio. NJI has no one in any position in Columbus. NJI has their own Ops, Travel, dispatch, etc...

I was told other than the name they are different companies. Kind of like the relationship Delta has with ASA and Comair.

Second I posted my interview experience to help other pilots looking at interviewing at NJI.

I'm pretty sure that regardless of the recent changes that NetJets management took to try and prevent a successful single-carrier petition with the NMB, you might be wise to at least entertain the idea that in the next year or so, those pilots are going to be members of our union and on our seniority list. I know that one of the slates up for election for the MEC has it as one of their top priorities.

Starman's betting on the Wish Fairy again. Don't hold your breath until this little bit of Fantasy comes true.
