Just curious if I would have a chance at an interview at netjets with low time and no jet time. I have 3500 hours and 500ish turbo prop. just looking through the threads and it looks like a great place to work someday.

If you are at or above the mins you have a chance. Good luck

You have a chance if you meet the mins. If you had no turbine time at all, then no. Turbine time is not a requirement, but believe me, they want it.

The big one is the 2500 tt requirement. NetJets uses that for propaganda purposes, they like telling our owners every single pilot hired by the company has a minimum of 2500 hours of flight experience. Good selling point. (Heard that in recurrent ground school last year)

From www.netjets.com

These are the mins. If you meet these mins, you have a chance.

  • Airline Transport Pilot Certificate (Multi-Engine Land)
  • Current FAA First Class Medical certificate
  • 2500 hours total pilot time
  • 500 hours fixed wing multi-engine time
  • 250 hours instrument time (actual or simulated in flight - excludes simulator time)
These are HARD mins. If yo do not meet these, do not apply.

Your chances are likely to improve markedly if you can network and can get a letter of recommendation or two.

But as the others have said, if you meet the minimums to apply, you do indeed have a chance.

I interviewed with people that had a low of 2700 hours and a high of 20000+. The flight time is not a measurment of your ability at NJ..They put you in an old crappy sim and make you fly an ndb hold on the interview.... they figure you can fly.. they are hireing personalities... SERVICE SERVICE SERVICE

NetJets seems to have become a lot more popular with applicants recently, probably because of the pay raise. They can afford to be picky. I applied a couple years ago and got the "thanks but no thanks" letter. Still, if you meet the minimums, apply, it can't hurt.

I'm here after flying a turboprop for several years. I had some jet time before that, but I haven't been current in a jet for a few years. There were guys in my class with similar times to yours as well, and at least one with no jet time.
