Just curious if anyone knows what happened on Sunday witha Netjets A/c declaring an emergency over Kansas, they went to Wichita to land. I was flying out to Palm Springs was listening in but couldnt tell what the problem was, maybe depressurization??

Yeah, I think the crew ran out of food and needed avtrip points. Kill 2 birds with one stone that way.

Forgot the Miracle Whip! :D

Poor Planning

Every pilot should put Salina, KS on their "emergency" landing location. Big hooters, short-shorts (summertime) and the occassional free steak.

Throw in a back rub and a man's in heaven.

It's called Flower Aviation. Pretty much midway down 17L/35R I guess it is now.

Great scenery for the middle of Kansas.....

They also have places in Clinton/Sherman, OK and Pueblo, CO I think, and also somewhere in TX maybe?

Can't vouch for the scenery at any of those though...

Oh yeah, at SLN they have a parrot who welcomes you to the FBO.

gotta watch them chiks....every one is 16 with 3-4 kids already!...

I hear they really dig pilots too!!

:D

Pueblo Colorado does have one, many years ago the scenery was more than outstanding. When I was there last year it was just average. I used to take my cross country training flights down there from Denver for just that reason.
