I have a question for you netjets folks. I submitted my application about 2 weeks ago with 3 letters of recommendation. TT s 4800hrs, 2900ME Turbine, 1200 Turbine PIC. # 1 is the enough experience and how long is the return call. Will I receive a e-mail or ph call?
Thanx for the help.

You definitely have enough time and recommendations. I had less than you and got the application, interview and job offer.

Is it your resume that you submitted and you're waiting on an application? In that case it'll take 2-3 weeks to get an application package.

If you've already received the application and submitted it, it will take anywhere from 3 weeks to a month for them to scan in the application, verify that it's properly filled out, and "accept" it. You'll be notified by e-mail that your application has been accepted and you'll be told in that e-mail to wait for further invitation to interview.

I waited 4 months from this point until I was offered an interview. My interview was a month later. I heard 3 weeks later that I was offered a job. And my class was scheduled at that point for 4 months after the job offer because I wanted a Teterboro base which is actually in pretty high demand so there was a little wait for class there.

As you can see, this is a pretty long process, but I feel that it's been worth it because I've put a lot of thought and research into and I'm sure NetJets is the place I want to spend my career. I just can't wait to get started . . . 2 months from now. . .

Good luck!

Thankyou so much for taking the time to reply to my question. I really appreciated your reply. Today I received an email saying my application was accepted and they would contact me for an interview, Hopefully won't have to wait too long. Does three letters of recommendation speed the process up. Like I said I have just under 5000 hrs with 1200pic turbine 121. Looking forward to an opportunity to working with a great company.
Thankyou again for your reply. Have a great week.

I got that same email 11/27/06. Still waiting for an interview. DAL is my base choice. I have 1 rec from a NetJet guy.

You definitely have enough time. Like milehigh6080, I was hired with less TT than you.

I think they are just a bit backed up. If you've got that many recommendations, you should end up getting an interview. Just give it a little while longer. Perhaps you could ask one of the people who recommended you to check with the recruiters and see where your application is in the process.

You're welcome, I'm glad it was helpful. I had one letter of recommendation which I think is helpful for getting an application but it doesn't speed you through the waiting process for an interview. A friend of mine is very good friends with an Assistant Chief Pilot at NJA and even he had to wait the same 4 months as I did.

Derinda is very responsive by e-mail . . ..but DO NOT CALL HER. If you want to pop in every other month with an e-mail to see where you stand, I'm sure she'll give you some indication. I didn't contact her at all during my wait, but a friend of mine did and she was very helpful to him, just keep this to a minimum and be as un-intrusive as possible if you do.

Good luck with the wait, and use it productively to learn as much as you possibly can about the company and study up on your AIM and aircraft stuff so that you're all set for the interview.
