i recently received my app and was wondering if someone could tell me if the DMV report from your state has to be certified in any way (state watermark or seal) or can it be a copy downloaded off the state website. i live in pa and downloaded a 10 yr history copy for 5 clams, but it doesn't have the state watermark or the certification statement at the end. which do they want?

Tanzer,

I am not sure. Is there any way you can go to the nearest DMV and get one. I thought about downloading it too, but didn't want to risk getting the application sent back to me because I was unsure. It cost $3 and took all of 3 minutes.

If you can get one with the seal I would go that route. FWIW.

Good Luck!

I just sent mine DMV report in, but did have the one document that came with the application packet notorized. I think that's the only one they nedded with the raised seal.
My app was accepted.

go get it notarized for another $3

Getting a DMV report notarized would be pointless if it were even possible. Notarizing a document proves that you signed it. They don't notarize documents just to lend an air of credibility to them.

Fine.....you tell NetJets you're not going to have it notarized because its "pointless". Sometime you just have to jump throught the hoops if you want something badly enough.

Just do it......

Why? NetJets doesn't want the DMV report notarized. They want the Ohio NDR request form notarized, because you aren't presenting it in person, unlike the DMV printout. Getting that one form notarized is explained in crystal-clear detail in the front of the application packet.

CA1900....I don't give a rat's tail about a driving record being notartized or not....I'm already hired......7 years ago.

What I'm saying is, if you're looking to get hired by NetJets and DMV notaritation is an issue.....error on the side of caution and have the damn thing notarized.

I can care less.....

I asked this very question directly at the Air inc conference. The first person didnt know the answer, but, pointed me to a rep whos job it is to screen the apps. I showed him the cheapo downloaded report from Texas DOV. He said that was fine. I later received the email that my app was accepted. The State report does not need to be notarized.....

I didn't mean to start a pissing contest. My point is that there is no way to have your driving record notarized. It can't be done. You don't sign it, so there is nothing for a notary to witness and seal. You can get the DVM's seal on it, if that is something your state offers, but you can't get it notarized.

The Ohio DMV form that NetJets requires you to have notarized is a form that allows NetJets to pull a copy of your national driving record through the Ohio DMV. You must sign that form in front of a notary public and get their seal for NetJets to accept your application. I got mine for free from the town clerk.

DO-82, I'm not trying to be argumentative with you, but maybe you don't understand what notarization is? When you get something notarized, you're having an independent witness to your signature on a document. You don't sign a DMV printout, so you can't notarize it. That's what I'm trying to say. I'm sorry you took it so personally.

Edit: Nixon beat me to it. There you go.

CA1900....I don;t care what NOTARIZED is ......if its going to help you get a job....do it. If not, I don't care. What's the harm?

I am reading it....I just don't care......send your DMV record in however way you want.....with or without an official seal, notarized or not....makes no difference to me.

Great...you know what the meaning of notarized ......

...and yet you keep replying to this thread. OK.

The part you're apparently not getting is that it is not possible to notarize your driving record. Even if you want to, you can't. Even if "its going to help you get a job," you can't.

I'm not sure why you think it's helpful to suggest that they do something impossible just because it's important.

Odd.

OK...Great....you can't have your driving record notarized.....have some kind of offiical seal put on it so it doesn't look like you made the thing on your home computer......

The first post said "CERTIFIED" 2 post later it was NOTARIZED"....get an official copy of the damn thing!!!!!!!

Enough said......That was my original point....

After you get it notarized, you should definately get it circumsized. That will make the difference.
