How far in advance do you know your 7&7 schedule?

Where I currently work we get our schedule month to month, usually only a few days before the beginning of the new work month. It would be nice to plan things more than 2 weeks in advance!

Thanks!!

You only know 2 weeks in advance. After that it starts all over again. 7 on, 7 off. It works out that you always start on the same day and end on the same day, over and over and over.
Sarcasm off - The only time it can change is an upgrade or you bid a different schedule. Hope this helps.

So who gets stuck with starting their 7's on a weekend? Sunday would be the worst for the new non-home-based guy who has to commute to his domicile. He'd never get another weekend off until he could bid out of that cycle. How hard is it to change start day once assigned?

Not quite - you can only bid a start day that is available. Under the new contract once you have a start day, you keep it. You cannot lose it even if a more senior guys bids the same day.

I know your aware of this be-400xpdriver, I just wanted to clarify for those that dont.
