Could some one explain the different Net Jets schedules? 7 and & is pretty obvious. Does everone always rotate on the same day? Is the 18 day a 6 and 4 or is it subject to change? How does the 15 day flex work?

Also, how does Net Jets work with Nat'l Guard and Reserves?

Thanks

Could some one explain the different Net Jets schedules? 7 and & is pretty obvious. Does everone always rotate on the same day?

No, there are different start days. Different fleets have different start days available. In the Excel, for example, there are Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday start days, which are repeated the next week. (So there are two opposite schedules that start on each of those days of the week.)

Some guys bid schedules that work as few holidays as possible. Others bid ones that work as many as possible, because we're paid an additional 150% of our daily rate if we work on any of 10 holidays in our contract.

Is the 18 day a 6 and 4 or is it subject to change?

Currently, it's called "Reserve," and the days you work are subject to change, except for two pairs of Hard days you bid off. But other than those, you don't really know exactly which days you'll be working until the evening prior to your first workday of a tour (up to 7 days).

The 18-day schedule in our tentative agreement, if ratified, will be a fixed schedule, published by the 15th of the month prior. A preferential bidding system will be implemented to let you bid days off you'd like, preferred tour lengths, or preferred length of time off between tours.

In any case, once it's published, it won't change. Maximum of 7 days in a tour, except they can assign one 8-day tour per 4-month bid cycle.

How does the 15 day flex work?

The month is totally flexible. You won't know if you're working until 6pm the evening prior to a tour. Once assigned a tour, it's a maximum of 5 days, followed by at least 3 days off no matter how long the tour.

The 5-day tour limit has a real appeal to me. I'm going to try and bid it, but I bet it will go fairly senior.

Also, how does Net Jets work with Nat'l Guard and Reserves?

They're very, very accommodating from what I understand. Beyond that, I'll have to defer to someone else to explain how they take care of you.

To add just a few extra points to CA1900's comprehensive post, there are minimum days off required after tours.

On the 15-day (as CA1900 stated), you have a minimum of 3 days off. Of course, if you reach 15 works days by, say, the 22nd of the month, the rest of that schedule month is off.

On the 18-day under IBB, an 8-day tour would require 5 days off. A 7-day tour would require 4 days off and a tour 6 days or less requires 3 days off.

Mr. Santulli has a great deal of respect for our military men and women. I've never heard a bad thing from the people who serve.

they would of course prefer you to do Mil duty when you are off, but I've never had an issue taking Mil leave. I just send an email with the dates and a copy of a mil leave letter.
