I'm not trying to be sarcastic but...

...with the surplus of qualified and hungry pilots out there why don't you just move on and select the next person?

I'm not trying to suggest that a crash in unforgiveable--that's the last thing I would suggest because as we all know, things happen.

But if she can't tell you what happened to your satisfaction then maybe you should find someone else.

Just a thought.

Guys and Gals alike,
Need some help. A female pilot is trying to get herself hired on with the company I fly for and through the official channels, H.R., all we get is she used to work here. This person is in her 40's, very brazen, and first name begins with a K. She flew a PC-12 for Native Air at one point. Also she flew mainly out of RST but I believe some out of AZ. Some of the info provided to us sounds fishy and she has been in a crash but she doesn't provide details. I realize this is vague info, but if anyone thinks they know the person or her situation please PM me. We're just trying to get a better picture of why no details on the background. Again, appreciate any help.
I dont know squat about hiring for an airline, but I'm with mar on this one.

Also, if there is a crash in this country, there is a FAA and/or NTSB report. Get the tail number and look up the details. If she can't produce the report, its bull and you should move on.

Withholding info can legally be seen as lying.

That's what the background checks are for...

The FAA search will turn up any violations, the Driver's License search will find DWI's, and the PRIA questions and work history should answer anything else.

Not that I didn't think of that but she's chummy with someone on the inside. We're trying to find out something to lessen the eventual blow. She's not getting hired, but that's not the point now. It's having something to say to the inside person when they ask why besides us saying we don't like her (won't go over well) and her background is fishy. Official or not.
Why not say you felt like a lynching?

Sometimes it's better to just tell the truth.

Just man up and be blunt. ASK! If you don't get an answer, that's reason enough not to hire somebody...unwilling to provide necessary information. If you feel she is lying, remind her that FAA records and PRIA requests will turn up anything "official".

IMO, the way you are going about it now is chicken$hit and lame.

I caught her doing a threesome with my Labs. There. That should do it.TC

AA717driver, you reminded me of an old one and being a lab owner I had to "share":

One day three dogs met in the vet’s office, a collie, chow and a lab. The dogs get to chatting on why they were there. The collie tells his story, “I like to chase the bus and I have been told not to do it many times but I just couldn’t resist yesterday and the bus went into a ditch and some kids got hurt so I am here to be put down”. When asked, the chow explains, “There is this kid that teases me through the fence all the time and I just couldn’t handle it any more so I bit the little s.o.b and so, I too, am here to be put down”. They ask the lab, so what are you here for? He says, “Well, my owner was taking a shower and she dropped the soap and I just had to jump on and take the wild ride”. The chow says “oh, man that’s a bummer, so you are here to be put down?” The lab laughs and says, “No, de-clawed”.
