I have an Astar interview in a few weeks. Already have the a/c info to study. However, here is the question: I have 18+years in the passenger side, but haven't flown freight. Given the state of the industry do any of you have any advice or info you would like to share about the future of Astar.

Serious question, thanks in advance.

You'll be sitting the panel. First year pay is between 24k-26k. Second year it doubles. Growing company (which is what you'll need to get off the panel). DHL and Astar are taking UPS and FEDEX head on. Cargo and corporate...the two industries that will give you job secruity in the flying industry. Had many a jumpseater they had no complaints. One other thing the average Cargo Pilot lives 7 years less than the average passanger pilot. Learn the 121 supplemental (not that you're not).

Good Luck
