I manage an airplane on their certificate. You want King Air info?

i have a buddy that is a Capt. there and he said they will be hiring Capts. and they will be posting on climbto350.com soon.
they have a lot of King Air 350's on their cert. including brand new one's with the pro-line setup.

good luck!

What is Captain pay?

QOL?

Schedule and RON's?

How many hours a month/year flying?

Is there a training contract?

Yes, I believe they are hiring King Air captains. I believe the mins are 2500TT etc. etc. I think starting pay is around 45K with full bennies for the individual etc. The King Air pilots fly all the King Airs, not just the 350's, however, they are getting more and more B-350's so new hire captains are probably going to 350 school after a short probationary period. If I recall correctly the King Air pilots work a 5 on 2 off schedule, not necessarily flying all 5 days on call. 18 to 20 work days per month is pretty average I think. They do ask pilots to sign 1 year training contracts for initial school/ type ratings. One can probably count on 5-7 RON's per month.

As far as 135 operators go, they are a good and reputable one. They treat employees well and maintenance is very good. Hope this helps.

I guess this probably belongs in the Charter section.:)

Yes, we are looking to hire KA Capts at the current time. Please seee our website at westcoastcharters.com to send a resume. The Captains are working a 5 and 2 schedule with one 3 day off period per month. New hire captains are placed on reserve until the schedule will allow a full line. Lines are bid in three month periods. Reserve can last anywhere from a month to 3-4 months depending on the schedule. You can expect 6 to 7 day a month off while on reserve. We offer a good quality of life with a friendly family atmosphere. Pay after IOE is complete is $48,500 with HMO benifits for the employee. Normal overnights are 5-10 depending on the alignment of the planets, and occasionaly more/less. Typical flying is 45-60 hours per month. We do require a 12 month training contract before simulator training. Captains fly the 350, B200, F90, and C90 with the majority of flying in the 350's and B200. Maintenance is very good, and its a great place to be. PM if you have any questions.

Good info, thanks for the heads up b350capt. It's always refreshing to actually glean some useful information on this site.

Do King Air pilots eventually transition to the jets (Lear 45s and Astra) or are pilots hired separately for those aircraft? I have a friend who is looking for a King Air job in CA.

Pilots are hired seperatly for the jet fleet. It is possible to move from the KA's to the jets, but its rare and certainly not common enough to make it the basis of choosing us. We're actively hiring KA PIC/SIC's and would invite your friend to send us a resume. Its a great company to work for (i've worked for major fractionals and other charter companies, and its nice here)
