Need homework help! About AvGas...

I've got this homework assignment to research how long I can store AvGas... Shell's website says anything over 6 months should be treated w/ a stabilizer. Someone else told me "no more than 5 years." Anyone know anything about this? Thanks!

Homework at 11:00 pm on a Sunday night, imagine that, lol. I've dug for some of this stuff in the past, and I found this helpful. It's US Army Field Manual 10-67, Petroleum Supply.
