Don't count on paying an attorney to fix anything. The best an attorney can do is view the situation as it's played out to date, and advise his or her client on how best to do damage control. That's not necessarily a fix, but simply advice on keeping from making it worse.
Mildlifefliers right on the ball, AOPA is pretty good about helping you out of a pickle, if you ever get in one. Or even if you just have a question. The legal plan is pretty cheap, even if you only use it once and pay for a lifetime for it, attorney bills can add up pretty fast.
And put in your search parameters including "Aviation Law". You can get his bio and other information. Also check the Martindale rating ... if the lawyer is rated "AV" he is probably decent. Not all good lawyers are rated, but most of the highest rated are good. It is a peer rating process. This is where lawyers find the lawyers in other locales.
