Hey Guys and Gals,

I have a buddy who's got an EMB-120 type. We heard there are some EMB-120's flying around with NASCAR colors.

Any idea who's aircraft or certificate they are? Additionally, anyone know who might be operating EMB-120's in non airline service...i.e. freight, corporate shuttles etc?

Thanks in advance,

HH

I believe either Childress Racing or Dale Earnhardt Enterprises
may operate an EMB-120. Not sure.

I also believe they are either out of INT (Winston-Salem) or EXX (Lexington).
Both in NC.

Best of luck.

I think I used to see an aircraft like you described at JQF (Concord, NC, just north of Charlotte).

Hope the info helps...

EMB-120

I am not sure who operates them, but there are EMB-120s that operate hauling freight for the DHL (I guess it is ASTAR now??) group in CVG, I only see them late at night and I don't know anything about the company.
Also, there are several EMB-120s that are sitting on the ramp at one of the FBOs in CVG, they are ex-UAL express planes I think they run freight, but I am never around to see them move, so I am not sure that they do.
Finally, there is a EMB-120 on the ramp in LSE, and I think they run freight as well, I don't know the company.

hope that helps.

I know for a fact that Earnhardt Enterprises has one. Not sure where in NC they are based though.

Richard Childress Racing flys out of Lexington NC. The have 2 EMB 120's, and two jets that I cnat seem to remember right now. I think one might be a hawker.

I saw the one you're talking about last week in IND on the Signature ramp. It was dark pewter with a red stripe. I think the tail had gold lettering. I couldn't figure out who's it was--the C and R on the tail didn't give me a clue. DOH!TC
