I'm currently a holder of a US FAA ATP. I'm looking into doing a JAA conversion with the Naples Air Center. Why? Well, I I think it could potentially make me a better pilot and open up overseas opportunities if needed. For now, I'm happily employed at a U.S. carrier.

Has anyone had experiences with Naples Air Center and their JAA program? Please share...

Thanks for the tip. It appears Naples Air Center no longer has JAA training approval. Therefore, anyone else have a suggestion on a good place to convert my US FAA ATP to a JAA ICAO ATPL? I'm in Florida.

Unless you intend to use the license in the EU, I'd think very carefully about starting it. Of the 5 mates of mine that have done the FAA to JAR "Conversion", the ATPL theory took 12-18 months and the whole thing ended up costing between US$10,000 - 15000.

Studying for the exams and flying the line is not easy, I know because I'm doing the studying right now for a JAR license.
