I heard the rumor the NAC is closing its doors, does anybody knows if it is true or if is it just a rumor?

Fly Safe.

I don't think this is true. They have just sent me their brochure on CD. They didn't say anything in their e-mail - but then again, i suppose they wouldn't! I plan on going to NAC later this year, so if anyone knows any different please shout!

Well well well

Looks like you were right!...

Official News from Naples Air Center, Inc.
It is with much regret Nikki and myself must close the Flight Department after 28 years of training pilots. (This will not effect our JAA ATPL ground school and Maintenance Department.)

After an audit by the State of Florida they increased our insurance for our employees by 225%. This is an increase that NAC cannot sustain. Since September 11, 2001 all private insurance companies offering this type of insurance have ceased to insure any employees that are pilots.

It has been a pleasure to have worked with so many of you in the past and we wish all of you God's Speed in your careers.

Keep Flying,

Richard & Nikki Gentil, Owners
Naples Air Center, Inc.

Be careful where you decide to train. There are companies going out of business all over the place. I know a few people who have got burned by paying up front for their training and receiving nothing in return except bills from their lawyers trying to get their money back.

Good luck to you all!

Best ribs in the country!! If no one has had the pleasure, get a meal at Michaelbob's and see for yourself.

It's a shame Naples is closing. When I was at FlightSafety I went there quite a bit.

Wow, can't believe they're closing. I worked there as an instructor from 95 to 96. Great area to work and yep pretty good ribs at Michelbobs.

They are back up and flying just on a little smaller scale, their planes where flying a lot this weekend from what I saw.
