Anyone know anything about Murray Air in YIP? Either the freight or charter side.

3 DC8's (4th one on its way)
2 Jetstreams
2 CASA 212 (on their way out)
1 Saab 340
DC8's are freight 121, Jetstreams and Saab are pax 135 and CASA's are freight 135.

Do they have set schedules there or are they one of the 15 minute callout type places. What are the pay rates for the various types. Any chance of needing a street captain on the Jetstream. What is life on the DC-8 like.

Hours and hours and hours of sheer boredom, interupted by moments of stark friggin terror and panic...

Not hiring at present, there may be a DC-8 ground school sometime this spring, dependant upon business. For the rest, just do a search, it's been posted several times before, at least once by me. Better than some, not as good as others. Website is www.murrayair.com

Does Chrysler still own the DC-8s? Seems like a good gig, you know you are going to get their business.

Just missed a Murray DC-8 picking up some VWs last year at LRD and hauling them to the Los Angeles autoshow. At least that is what the ground crew at LRD said.
