What are the chances of getting on with a regional if you have reasonable total time-2500 and 1000+ turbine pic but only have 50 multi??? Thats right a caravan.... How much multi-time should I expect to build to be competitive???

In my job hunt ive noticed that quite a few companies have raised their multi requirements to 300 or 500... Competitive is usually somewhat more than that however that turbine time should also look good. you usually need at least 100 multi though... happy job hunting.... I only have 110 hours multi time so ive got a long way to go

I have been trying to get an interview for a year now - I have two type ratings both in glass cockpit airplanes which I thought would help and 350 multi. NOT!

All they care about is multi time - I now have about 430 multi but I am buying a block in an apache anyway. 500 is the minimum as many recruiters have told me.

If you want advice, get a job flying a multi-engine airplane. You wont get to a commuter without it (at least not for a few years). Trust me, I made the same mistake and then got layed off to boot : )
