Whatever the story, it appears they did a good job, did the right things, and did them in the right order.

Anytime you can walk away from something like that, the rest of the day is going to be a good day.

That would make a good trainer now if they just refurbished it. A little paint, some new seats......who would know? "nudge nudge"

A bird strike generally isn't. Landing without power can be. (isn't always). Landing a learjet following a series of catastrauphic bird strikes and no power while loaded to gross with a full load of fuel in an off-airport landing...obviously is.
