ST GEORGE, Utah, Feb. 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- SkyWest Airlines, Inc.,
a subsidiary of SkyWest, Inc. (Nasdaq: SKYW) announced today that it has

the same terms and conditions contained in the current agreement.
In total, the United growth commitment now stands at 42 regional jet

the skywest interviewers make a big point about being on time. you can only have one late show before your teminated. The interviewer ranted about this point for a good 10 minutes.

Then they said that they would call us back for the 2nd interview. They said that they would call before 11pm that night. They asked for the best number to reach me. I gave them my cell number. so after that lecture on being prompt, the interviewer returns my call at 1145pm, but not on my cell number, instead on my home number. That makes me mad.

The interviewer (that i had) is a hipocrit in my opinion. He was suppose to call the next day also before noon. And much to my suprise, the phone did not ring all day. Whats with these people. before i was excited to start with skywest, but im not so sure anymore.

How are the skywest dispatchers?? had anyone dealt with them? are they sharp like aca dispatch or dull like air whiskey??

sorry just had to vent that out there...

A freind just got called. Said something about expansion big time with Air Tran. I think they've got the game down...look out Mesa!

Did you say Airtran ? Have yet to hear that one.

What did your friend get called for? Class date, interview?

ADG

Interview. Mesa serves 3 airlines and if this thing with airtran were to happen, then Skywest would have 3 as well.

That really would be interesting, and if Delta does give most of the DCI flying to their wholly owns, then Skywest would have an out---go to ATL and be an Airtran connection.....

Also, these 12 extra RJs will produce how many more United furlough spots? 5 per plane, right? So 60.....Good for the United furloughs. Will these be based in ORD or IAD? Anyone know?

Bye Bye---General Lee;)

Skywest already has 3; Delta, United and Continental.
I think they're looking for a 4th. and a 5th., etc.

Yes, that would be very interesting. Right now there are plenty of rumors regarding IAD flying. No official announcements, at least none that I am aware of. One thing is for sure, SkyWest management is pretty good at getting what they want. So I would not be all too surprised.

"Crashpad", SkyWest currently feeds:

Delta, since 1987
UAL, since 1997
Cal, 1995-1997 and now once again since 2003.
(small operation of EMB-120's out of IAH)

Hope your buddy did well at his or her interview.

Guys its 3 airlines....UAL, DAL AND CAL!

General,

Not 60... it's another 10 maybe, if they haven't been interviewed already. The 50 seaters aren't subject to the J4J.

Sloth

Sloth,

Oh, ok--I wasn't aware of that. I guess 10 is better than none. Thanks for responding.

Bye Bye---General Lee:rolleyes:

General -

As for now noone really knows the status of ORD and IAD. That said, they are building up DEN quickly. The CRJ classes are almost all being awarded DEN slots, and we barely have enough parking spots for what we have now. The common thought is that most of the flying out of DEN will flow into ORD and eventually the junior pilots will be displaced there when the domicile opens. Rumor has it that a bid has gone out for the ORD maintenence base. Those guys always seem to know first. I haven't heard anything definitive ablut IAD, but with UAL building the terminal there it is just a question of who will staff it. Hope this helps, I'm sure most of it you already know.

MKAY?

Mkay?,

Thanks. I have a couple United buddies on furlough and thought this news might be useful to them. Appreciate the info.

Bye Bye--General Lee;)

I asked our VP of Marketing about ORD and IAD, including operating EMBs out of IAD. He said, "At this point, we may get some limited IAD flying, but Brasilias haven't been mentioned at all. Perhaps a handfull of Chicago-tied trips, but that's it so far. "
